Welcome to my blog. I really don't know what I'm doing or where this will go, but I'm trying something new.
About Me

- I grew up in Kansas City then headed to Iowa State University in Ames for college. After nine long years, I finally left ISU... with a PhD in biochemistry. Now, I have made the transition from being a student to working in academia. Soon, I would like to make the change from academia to industry. Things are going to be interesting.

So, you don't spend much time talking with the prof about your personal life? :P I think it can be better that way sometimes - if your "boss" doesn't know too much about you. But it hurts when they don't even care.
